Trivia
- Throh and Sawk draw parallels to the Generation I Pokémon Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, in that they are Template:Type2 Pokémon that appear to be related to each other.
- Throh, along with Sawk, Rufflet, Braviary, Tauros, and the Hitmons, is one of the few gendered non-legendary Pokémon naturally occurring in the wild that cannot reproduce without a Ditto.
- Throh learns only Physical and Status moves by level.
- The only Special moves it can learn at all are Round, Focus Blast, Grass Knot and Hidden Power, and only by TM.
Origin
Throh is based upon a Judo master and Oni.
Name origin
Throh is a corruption of throw. Nageki is the combination of 投げる nageru, to throw, and 撃 geki, strike.
