The Yellow Scarf (Japanese: きいろのバンダナ Yellow Bandanna) is a type of held item introduced in Generation III. It increases the holder's Toughness in a Pokémon Contest.

When held by a Pokémon, it raises its Toughness in the primary round of a Pokémon Contest, the Visual Competition of a Super Contest, and the Introduction Round of a Contest Spectacular.

In Generation III, it is raised by 20 points, up to a total of 255 points.

ColoXD An item brought over from a faraway place. DPPt An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts the "Tough" aspect of the holder in a Contest. HGSS An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts the "Tough" aspect of the holder in a Contest in Sinnoh. BWB2W2 An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts the Tough aspect of the holder in a Contest. XY An item to be held by a Pokémon. During a Contest, it raises the Tough aspect of the Pokémon holding it. ORAS SMUSUMPE SwShLA An item to be held by a Pokémon. During a contest, it raises the Tough aspect of the Pokémon holding it. BDSP An item to be held by a Pokémon. During a Super Contest Show, it raises the Toughness of the Pokémon holding it. SV When a Pokémon holds this during a contest, it looks even tougher than usual.

Before competing in the Master Rank Contest, Ruby was given all five scarves, which he used to enhance the respective conditions of five of his Pokémon, leading all of them to win the Contest and fulfilling Ruby's part of the 80-day challenge with Sapphire. He used the Yellow Scarf to enhance Mumu's Toughness.
