Release information
This card was included as part of the Mysterious Treasures expansion. In Japan, it was first awarded as a prize to the top 3 teams in the Team Battle DP Battle side event at 2007 Spring Battle Roads between March and April of that year. Teams consisted of 3 players; those including at least 1 member of elementary school age competed in the Elementary School League, while others could compete in the Open League. It was then awarded as a prize to the top-ranking players in the One Day Battle event at 2007 Summer Battle Roads between July and September of that year.
It was later awarded at the newly implemented Winter Challenge 2007 events, held between November 2007 and January 2008. Players from each age division who earned a set of three stamps in their battle passport in the knockout-style Arena Challenge were awarded this card. A single stamp was earned by achieving a two-match winning streak; however, a two-match win or a loss at any stage required players to queue for the event again. Attaining seven stamps allowed players to compete on the 'Premier Stage' for a chance to win a Mysterious Pearl promotional card.
It was subsequently reprinted in each of the Japanese Collection Packs in April 2009.
Trivia
- This was the first secret card to be included in an English expansion since EX Holon Phantoms.
- Not including Parallel Holofoils, this was the first English Trainer card to feature a Holofoil border.
Origin
The name of the card and the inclusion of Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf in the illustration are a reference to the events at the Spear Pillar in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and Pokémon Platinum.
