Forms

Rotom forms are mutually exclusive in generation IV if I remember correctly.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 14:01, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

I haven't tried, but since its egg group is Amorphous and not no eggs, wouldn't the player be able to breed multiple Rotom and give them all different forms if they wanted? --celadonk (talk) 15:33, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
I've checked the Platinum. By changing form you take the appliance from the room making it impossible to own more than one of the same appliance form.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 17:40, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
You might be misunderstanding "mutually exclusive"... it means you can't own multiple different Pokemon at the same time, not that you can't own more than one of the same kind at the same time. Check if you can get, for example, a Heat Rotom and a Wash Rotom, rather than two Heat Rotoms. --celadonk (talk) 21:08, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
I know it's something different just wasn't sure how it works.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 21:30, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
The criteria for mutually exclusive should not be whether you can have the ultimate "living dex", anyway. If you can change Rotom whenever you want, there's nothing exclusive about any form. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:23, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Cosplay Pikachu

Does this really count as "mutually exclusive"? Sure, you can only get one Cosplay Pikachu in the game, but you can change its form at will into the others. It's like claiming that Giratina is mutually exclusive because you can't get both Alternate and Origin form without trading. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:08, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

I agree, but will wait for more opinions, it's essentially the same as saying all Arecus's forms are mutually exclusive as you can only get one per game usually. --Spriteit (talk) 23:17, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
I agree as well. There has to be no access to free change--KnightGalarie (talk) 23:35, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Double bold

Am I the only one who sees Pokemon's names double bolded? Once from triple apostrophe and second from exclamation mark cell.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 10:59, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Alright, I removed the triple apostrophes now, since they seemed to be redundant anyway. Since you asked, I wasn't really seeing anything double bolded. At least in my case, the text was simply bold because of the table header (the exclamation mark cell), and the additional triple apostrophes didn't visibly make it any bolder to me. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 15:42, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
I use Mozilla Firefox, maybe because of this the difference is visible. Same thing happens for generation number on move list on pages of types.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 17:39, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
That's interesting. As you said, maybe because of this the difference is visible. The difference was not visible on my Google Chrome. I think it should be fixed now since I removed the triple apostrophes (at least from this page). --Daniel Carrero (talk) 18:26, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 18:39, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
No problem. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 18:49, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Alola Starters in Isle of Armor

I'm not well versed in creating the tables used on this page. Could somebody add the Alola starters that you can get from the Alolan Diglett trainer in Isle of Armor? You can only receive the one of the same type as your Galar starter. Pokemega32 (talk) 11:03, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Delcatty and Wigglytuff

If we're including choices you have to make over evolution stones, there are actually quite a few more Pokemon that need to be included here. You could only obtain one of each elemental stone in Gold and Silver, and Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald only let you have one of Clamperl's evolution items. Pokemega32 (talk) 15:39, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Squirtle and Bulbasaur in IoA

Should Bulbasaur and Squirtle really be mentioned under the Isle of Armor section? It even says that one can catch more through Max Raid battles, defeating the purpose of describing them as "exclusives." Those dens don't change based on version or what you chose, so you can obtain more. now if the page was to list any type of choice that affects what you get that's be a whole other situation (which, in that case is missing even more Pokemon such as Palkia/Dialga/Giratina from the Sinjoh Ruins event). Should the Squirtle and Bulbasaur be removed from that section? TrainerSplash (talk) 03:45, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

It's the same case with Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee from Let's Go. I believe this page is supposed to list choices!? (In which case, Bulbasaur and Squirtle should stay; and I guess the leading paragraph should probably clarify that.) Nescientist (talk) 15:26, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
I can't verify on the wiki that Bulbasaur or Squirtle can be obtained through Max Raid battles, if that is possible, I think their pages should note it (GexGrumps (talk) 01:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC))

Yancy and Curtis

Is it not the case that, in Black 2 and White 2, Meowth / Mawile / Teddiursa and Mankey / Sableye / Phanpy are mutually exclusive due to the fact that your choice of gender at the beginning of the game determines whether Yancy or Curtis is available for trade? Should this page be updated to reflect these exclusive trades? Wolf9400 (talk) 14:44, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

That's correct. They're mutually exclusive to specific-gendered player characters, which means you can't get (for instance) both a Meowth and a Mankey on the same save file without trading with someone else. bwburke94 (talk) 09:54, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
Shellos's forms are also mutually exclusive because when breeding, the child will always be the same form as the mother (or the non-Ditto parent). But I will add this. --Bfdifan2006 (T/C) 10:03, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
