Spotlight (Japanese: スポットライト Spotlight) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation VII.

Effect

Spotlight makes the target the center of attention, causing all attacks to target that Pokémon rather than the intended target. This effect will not make an opponent target its ally.

When used in place of a Z-Move, the move will become Z-Spotlight and boost the user's Special Defense stat by 1 stage.

Description

Games Description
SM The user shines a spotlight on the target so that only the target will be attacked during the turn.
