Community Day

Pokémon GO Community Day (Japanese: コミュニティ・デイ Community Day) is a monthly in-game event in Pokémon GO that features specific Pokémon through limited-time increased spawn rates and obtainable exclusive moves for three hours.

During these events, different resource bonuses occur, such as increased XP gain or decreased Egg distances. Field Research tasks specific to the Community Day event are also available during the three hour period.

During the Community Day event, the featured Pokémon is much more likely to be Shiny than usual (at about a 1/25 chance); additionally, the Community Day event is usually the first time the Pokémon's Shiny coloration is available.

Event time

The event used to run at one of three GMT times, depending on the player's location. The three different regions were as follows.

• Asia-Pacific
• Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India
• The Americas and Greenland

Since the March 2019 Community Day, the hours have been changed to start at 3 p.m. in each time zone and last until 6 p.m. During the following summer, Community Days times were changed to 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Exclusive moves learned by an evolution of a featured Pokémon are usually obtainable up to one hour after the end of the event.
