Noivern (Japanese: オンバーン Onvern) is a dual-type Flying/Dragon Pokémon.
It is currently unknown if it evolves into or from another Pokémon.
Biology
Noivern is extremely combative toward anything that wanders too close to it. It flies through even the darkest nights using ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears.
Noivern love fruit, and feeding them fruit will keep them calm.
In the animeTrivia
- Noivern is the first dual-typed Pokémon with Flying as its primary type.
Origin
Noivern seems to be based on a combination of wyvern, fruit bat/flying fox, and loudspeaker or tweeter.
Name origin
Noivern may be a combination of noise and wyvern.
Onvern may be a combination of 音 on (sound), 音波 onpa (sound wave), and ワイバーン wyvern.
