Name origin

Two things. One, shouldn't it's German name origin be "seA dragon king" instead of "seE dragon king"? Two, wouldn't you say Kingdra more percisely resembles a leafy sea dragon? - unsigned comment from ANinyMouse (talkcontribs)

Germans spell Ice "eis", tea "tee", and sea "see." evkl 04:35, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Alright. You learn something new everyday. --ANinyMouse 06:57, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)

If the English names represent anything, several Pokémon names are, or contain, mis-spelled English words. Some examples are Jynx, Onix and Staryu. Does German do the same?User142 | Talk 11:25, 3 January 2006 (CST)

Kingdra / King Ghidora?

Something just occured to me: Kingdra (キングドラ) is very close to King Ghidora (キングギドラ), the famous rival of Godzilla. Aside from King Ghidora containing an extra katakana, they're the same word. Granted, the creatures don't look similar at all, aside from both being dragon-like, but does anyone think that this could be the inspiration for the name? Bikini MiltankFile:Ani241MS.gifMoo, I say. 18:54, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Kingudora vs Kingugidora. Possible, but the name section's all speculation anyway. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 01:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Flash Cannon

Why can Kingdra learn Flash Cannon, but not Solarbeam. I know it may have to do with the type of Kingdra, but the moves are both close to the same idea. Both store and release light. Any ideas? --PsychicRider 03:14, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Light is the least important... it's just because of the type combination. Yeah, if you think I didn't notice, Typhlosion learns solarbeam in Gen IV, but that's an exception. hfc2X 06:25, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

360 degrees worthy for the trivia?

This was on the main page: Did you know that Kingdra can rotate thair heads 360 degrees? I might add it if I get no opposition - unsigned comment from Cat2killer (talkcontribs)

Um, no, that is a Did you know, or did you know that. If you have a better Idea then submit it to an administrator and they'll edit the main page, please sign your comments.--Pokémon lovers Any questions? Click here 21:49, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

When does a Kingdra do this anyway? Anime? Ash zane 12:29, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Clair's Gym battle with Ash in Fangs for Nothin' (Vs. Noctowl). Look here. tc²₆tc26 12:30, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
That's 180 degrees. Unless it turned to the left to attack backwards, and then kept going, then no. R.A. Hunter Blade 12:47, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Damaging Empoleon

Yes, Kingra can't learn any move (except Hidden Power) to damage Empoleon at least normally. It was already written here, then deleted, now it is here again. Do we need this trivia? Now we have a lot of new Pokemon, which can't damage some other, like Doredia, learning only Grass and Normal moves (except Hidden Power and Dream Eater) can't damage Metagross, or ... or any Template:Type2 Pokemon. Similary, Baibanira can't scratch Steel. --ЫъГЬ 18:03, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Too slow, I know...--ЫъГЬ 18:04, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

About fire

Does kingdra the only dragon type that can't learn fire type move? jomphol 12:04, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Kyurem, Zekrom and Eon duo (not counting Sunny Day) also can't.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 12:22, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

But kingdra could not even learn sunny day

Neither can Kyu/Zek.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 12:32, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Physiology?

The last sentence of the Physiology says that Kingdra's color relates to Blastoise. Yeah, um, the only similarity is that they're blue and have brownish bellies, but they're different shades. --"FiMbUlWiNtEr2O|2" 17:45, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

That does sound silly, and it sounds like an opinion to me (I personally never thought of Kingdra looking like Blastoise at all). Got rid of it. ^^ Littlmiget123 17:56, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Swim/Float

Can Kingdra Float/fly as well as swim or just swim does anybody know?>Emeraldben 23:17, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

No, I've never seen Kingdra fly. What gave you that idea? XVuvuzela2010X 23:20, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Nothing, its always been in the back of my mind also in pokemon adventures Kingdra is like floating next to clair Emeraldben 23:24, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

It's just a way for it to move out of water. Ataro 23:31, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Right, I thought it did, should it be added to the article Emeraldben 23:35, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
