Cursed Body (Japanese: のろわれボディ Cursed Body) is an ability introduced in Generation V. Five Pokémon have this ability, all of which are part Template:Type2 Pokémon.

Effect

In battle

Cursed Body has a 30% chance of disabling the opponent's used move when attacked. This works even if the attacker is behind a Substitute and when the user is knocked out, but will not activate if the Pokémon with Cursed Body is behind a Substitute.

Cursed Body has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Method
User First Used In Notes
When Frillish is hit by the opponent's attack that causes physical contact, Frillish's body becomes surrounded in a dark indigo aura. The aura then is transfered to the opponent's body by the physical contact, and the opponent becomes surrounded by the dark indigo aura instead. The opponent can then no longer use the move that inflicted the physical damage onto Frillish. Sometimes, Frillish's body doesn't become surrounded in a dark indigo aura when the effect is activated.
