NEXT PERSON WHO COMMENTS ON THE "OH GLAMEOW IS PEARL ONLY WHY IS IT UNDER DIAMOND" OR SOME EQUIVALENT GETS BANNED. READ THE ARTICLE BEFORE LOOKING AT THE PICTURES. Thanks! TTEchidna 22:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[18:14:03] <Shinoabisu> Cat with long neck is in the wild. [18:14:05] <CassSept> :S [18:14:09] <CassSept> you saw it? [18:14:10] <CassSept> in pearl? [18:14:18] <Shinoabisu> No, but dex says so.

^-- would mean the pedia is wrong about Nyaruuma (and Bunyatto) not being in Pearl x)

I think the format of this list caused confusion - from what I've heard, Nyarumā and Bunyatto are exclusive to Pearl, not from... --Pie 05:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

The following need to be moved from Diamond to Pearl. - Glameow / Purugly - Shieldon / Bastiodon - Misdreavus / Mismagius

From what I can tell the whole list needs to be switched around (Diamond = Pearl and visa versa).

That's because they're the Pokémon that are missing from the version in question, for all of them. TTEchidna 04:57, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay - now i feel stupid. Still, doesn't this seem a little backwards? It seems more natural to look for what you have and not what you're missing. That's probably just me. - kuja

Eh, true, but then we'd encounter a problem when it comes to the third versions. TTEchidna 01:10, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I caught a Murkrow in Eterna Forest in Pokémon Diamond ... Actually now that I think about it I did have Pokémon LeafGreen in the GBA Slot. Hmm ... Whetever. File:Ani137MS.gif TESH File:Ani233MS.gifTALK File:Ani474MS.gif SAND 16:07, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Everything still need to be flipped around in FireRed and Leaf Green I fixed it --Tommy 04:08, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

No no no no no! That's not how it works! 281Tinaδ281s 04:20, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Um...The Pokemon in Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue team need to be switched around. All of them. --Chimchar007 4:02, 10 April 2008
No, they do not. Did you even read the disclaimer? The tables show the Pokémon that are missing from the games in question. It's ignorance like this that caused the page to end up protected in the first place. --Shiningpikablu252 20:19, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, um...

I'm protecting this, simply because no one wants to read the disclaimer that "the Pokémon listed below are MISSING from that particular game, and will need to be traded from a game within the same generation that does not list them." I boldened it, nothing. So I'm gonna protect it for... oh, a year. Any comments? TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 05:06, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Well, it's not as if it needs updates nearly as much as the List of AG episodes did when it had to be protected. People won't magically start reading the bold before editing in the next year, though.
This is a good time to bring up an issue I have with the colours of the tables, though. Black on black? Seriously? --FabuVinny T-C-S 10:15, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
True, next time an update is needed is when GSDS or DPv3 comes out. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 02:28, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
...which, DPv3 probably won't come out until 2009, and GSDS might not be planned. Tina δ 02:35, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Either way, it'll be a while. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 04:28, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Correction:

Vulpix/Ninetales is not in Pokémon Gold. Vulpix/Ninetales is in Silver/Crystal. Growlithe/Arcanine's in Gold.

Fail. Read the page. The bold text. You know. The whole REASON why this page got protected. Tina δ281 02:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, yes. I noticed that mistake. My bad. Forget I said anything. Chikoquil

Suggestion

May I suggest a color change? The blue on black is somewhat hard to read. MoldyOrange 23:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

You think blue on black is bad? The Mystery Dungeon sections have black on black! It's basically unreadable unless you highlight! I second this color change! --Shiningpikablu252 23:06, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm..

I think the confusion is due to the title of the Article... why don't you change it to "Pokémon missings in versions" or something like that? It sure is no big deal but... i just feel like annoying a little bit 8)

It might be, but there's no good way to do that. "Pokémon that are uncatchable in certain versions" just doesn't sound good. TTEchidna 03:22, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
How 'bout Version-exlcuded Pokémon? Elemento 17:56, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with Elemento. The title does cause a lot of confusion. I mean most people would expect to see Pokémon that are listed in the boxes to be exclusive to that particular game and not the other way around. I think Version-exluded Pokémon would be an excellent solution to the problem. Or you can just swap everything. Or leave it, whatever. I know that it silly that some people can't seem to figure out everything is reversed but, that's the way the cookie crumbles. --ケンジガール 01:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Real professional

Could we get a clean-up on this article? it looks like it's completely hacked, or an editor totally lost it. - PDL

Oh wait, nevermind, people are too retarded about things, disregard what I said. - PDL

Eeeexactly. People were too dumb to read the article and skipped straight down to the list and are all "LOL KYOOGRZ IN SAFIRE NOT RUBBY ILL FICKS IT". So, protected, and even THAT didn't stop the stupid questions coming in. TTEchidna 05:13, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

So what's going to happen when Platinum is released in September? semi-protection? - PDL

There is no need to reduce the protection level on this one. A sysop can add the list when we get it. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 15:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
It's kinda funny how this whole shiploz could have been avoid if the titles of each field had "Not in (version name)". Or is there a particular reason why it hasn't been done. - PDL

Surskit and Lotad

Shouldn't it be mentioned that if you mix records with Emerald and Ruby/Sapphire, outbreaks can happen in one game that usually only happen in the other? For example, I mixed records between Sapphire and Emerald. In Emerald, I could from then on get Surskit outbreaks, and there'd be the odd Seedot swarm in Sapphire. Shouldn't any of this be mentioned? I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 01:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Serious Business?

Did somebody get EXTREMELY angry over some edits on this page? The reson I'm asking is because as soon as I go to the page it starts screaming at me about the obligatory third version. Its a little unsettling. --Cjhard 16:29, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

And also, its been said before but I'll say it again; the format of the page is confusing as hell. Much better to show pokemon that are exclusive to a version, rather than from a version. Cjhard 16:34, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
It looked worse before I edited that message down. And no, it is easier to list what is missing from each because of the third version. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:57, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

So is anyone going to change the banner colors for each version? Something about them being all black kinda bugs me, but that's about it. -- PDL

When people constantly change the page to say "LOL VUPLIX IN BLU NOT RED" and "KYORGY IN SAFIRE WAT U TALKIN BOUT IT IN RUBBY" you do tend to get pissed. TTEchidna 20:18, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Porygon2

Red Rescue Team lists Porygon2 as missing from its version. Wouldn't it be possible to obtain it by evolving a Porygon, or is the Up-Grade item missing as well? ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 17:22, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

The Up-Grade is available in shops in Wish Cave. However, Porygon2 still doesn't appear in the wild without a wondermail code and is much, much easier to obtain by recruiting. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:47, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Trade Evo's

Can Pokémon that evolve trough trade truly be considered exclusive?

Example: In Gen. III Scyther can only be obtained in Fire Red yet it also shows Scizor. But technicaly Scizor isn't actually available in Fire Red, so why is he on this list. Just because he evolves from a Version Exlusive doesn't make him also a Version Exclusive. Does it? Just wondering.Zabbethx 13:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Since you can only get a Scizor by evolving the exclusively Fire Red Scyther, it still counts as a version exclusive since that's the game of origin for all non-sharked wild caught Scizor. They are considered the same individual Pokémon, regardless of what evolutionary stage or how evolution is acheived. - PDL

hold on wait

perhaps thats why they change it! id much rather look at what i have than whats gone! i want it switched.Whatswithalltheextraspace 00:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Is it that hard to tell what Pokémon you don't have in each version? The reason why it's set up the way it is is because the third version never has Pokémon that's totally exclusive to it and it alone. It only has missing Pokémon that you need the other two games if you want them. - PDL

i feel so backwards!!! *crys*Whatswithalltheextraspace 14:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

If you want to know which Pokémon are in a particular game, you will have to look at the entire regional dex listing. I would think it's easier to just see what isn't in your version after that. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:45, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

R/S/E chart confusion

Lunatone, Zangoose, and Roselia's positions are confusing me. Anyone care to fill me in? Gligar 22:56, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Also Mankey/Primeape in the G/S/C chart. Gligar 22:57, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

R u confused, or are u asking for a blok--KukiTalk 23:08, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

No, I'm confused as to where Lunatone, Zangoose, Roselia, Mankey, and Primeape fit in. Gligar 00:58, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Lunatone cannot be found in Ruby or Emerald. Zangoose cannot be found in Sapphire or Emerald. Roselia cannot be found in Emerald. Mankey and Primate cannot be found in Gold or Crystal. Do you understand now? --ケンジガール 01:06, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

New Platinum exclusives

via Serebii (here), I started the new Generation IV box. DO NOT ADD IT TO THE ARTICLE YET, it is NOT complete. When they are all in, I will finish the table.

Uh, are you sure you got all the info correct? Most of the entries under Diamond are for Pearl, and most under Pearl are for Diamond... plus, Bonsly/Sudowoodo are Pearl, and Mime Jr./Mr. Mime are Diamond (neither of those lines are exclusive to Platnium).
And if you also want to get picky, the following lines should be opposite each other...:
  • Glameow and Stunky
  • Cranidos/Shieldon
  • Seel/Spheal
  • Aron/Slowpoke.

Did you notice the message on the top of the page. Because the template you are talking about is actually on the talk page, you are getting your 1 official warning, then you will get banned. MoldyOrange 03:26, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Well that's interesting, Platinum has added more into the wild that were not in Diamond and Pearl. I'll add them when we get more missing from Platinum, as I'm a tad busy :P MK 14:30, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Serebii's said it themselves: They've gotten all of the missing ones Gligar 18:21, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
