Route 110

Once Team Aqua is out of the way, you can go to Mauville City using the low road beneath Seaside Cycling Road. Your rival is waiting for you there, and his/her Pokémon are now levels 18-20, and their types are more balanced out. Once you defeat him/her, you can go to Mauville City, where the third Gym Leader is waiting.

Mauville City Once you enter Mauville City, go to Rydel's Cycles. After he hears that you walked all the way from Littleroot Town, he will give you a free bike. You can choose the Acro Bike, which is good for doing tricks like wheelies; or the Mach Bike, which goes really fast. After you get your Bike, you can always come back here and switch Bikes, so don't worry if you find an area that only one type of Bike can get to. Go to the Pokémon Gym, where Wally is standing outside with his uncle. Wally wants to challenge the Gym, but his uncle refuses to let him until his breathing problem is better. He will challenge you with his Ralts to prove his abilities. It is an average Pokémon at theis point in the game, and it knows Double Team, which ups evasiveness, so watch out for that. The other thing you might like to know about him is that when his Ralts uses Teleport, it's useless. You will need to battle a few trainers to get to him. Be prepared before you battle Gym Leader Wattson, his Pokémon are all at least level 20. Make sure you have a strong Template:Type2 Pokémon with you for an easier victory. After you win the Dynamo Badge, go west to Route 117.
