Hello! (こんにちは!) Welcome to my user page! I am ShinyPatch - well, I'm not, I'm Edward, but you don't need to know that! If you see my username anywhere else on the internet apart from on Bulbapedia, or official Pokémon websites, it is not me (and even then, there is no guarantee that that is me either!). I will keep my user page short and sweet like a Cherubi's ball of nutrients.

ABOUT ME

I started collecting Pokémon cards in around 2005-06 and got my first Pokémon game (Pokémon Diamond Version) on 25th December 2007(Christmas day when I was eight years old) along with a black Nintendo DS Lite to play it on. I received (Pokémon Pearl Version) shortly after, on 7th January 2008. I therefore grew up in Generation IV and loved every minute of it! In fact all 1169 hours and 25 minutes of it. In fact the Palkia that I caught in Pokémon Pearl Version that is now level 100, and currently in my Pokémon White Version 2 game, is still one of my preferred Pokémon for battling with and was the first Pokémon I got to level 100, and the Pokémon that had to deliver the knockout blow to the shiny Relicanth I encountered and couldn't catch after I ran out of Pokéballs (I have always travelled with as many Pokéballs as I can since that sad evening, and now have 999 Pokéballs in Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver, and Black). Since those days, I have preordered every upcoming Pokémon game for the DS, DSi, and 3DS, (both versions if two are released at once) (except Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure which I could not preorder, and bought one day after it was released). I also preordered PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. Through a lot of saving money from doing "odd jobs", by January 2013 I had a silver Nintendo DS, the aforementioned black Nintendo DS Lite, a black Nintendo DSi, a blue Nintendo DSi XL, an blue Nintendo 3DS, a red Nintendo 3DS XL, a black Nintendo Wii, Pokémon Red Version, an almost fully functioning Pokémon FireRed Version that turned out to be fake, Pokémon Emerald Version, Pokémon Dash, Pokémon Link, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Battle Revolution, Pokémon Diamond Version, two Pokémon Pearl Versions (after feeling nostalgic), Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, My Pokémon Ranch, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Pokémon Platinum Version, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, Pokémon HeartGold Version, Pokémon SoulSilver Version, PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure, Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, two Pokédex 3Ds (one for my N3DS, one for my N3DSXL), Super Pokémon Rumble, PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Pokémon Conquest, Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure, Pokémon Dream Radar, Pokémon Black Version 2, Pokémon White Version 2, and Pokédex 3D Pro. I also had over four-thousand Pokémon Trading Cards.

After discovering the art of "chaining" Pokémon, I have now obtained 115 shiny Pokémon and have also infected them all with the Pokérus virus that I got from my cousin. The day I started writing this page (23 Feb 2013), I caught, Regirock, Registeel, Regice, and Regigigas! All in all, not a bad day!. I competed in the Pokémon Video Game World Championships National 2012, and failed miserably against an ex-champion, and his Volcarona and his Exeggutor. I will be ready for this kind of challenge next time! Although, me bringing Shedinja into battle was clearly a good idea! It kept me in the battle for two extra turns!

Recently, over the past year or so, I have acquired a certain attraction to Fire type Pokémon, and my favorite Pokémon is currently Fennekin, although, Raichu is also one of my favorites as, unusually, is the prototype Pokémon Honōguma that was never released!

WHAT DO I DO?

I tend to edit all varieties of information on Bulbapedia, although the Trivia section is a typical favorite of mine! However, generally, I hope to bring knowledge from the world of Pokémon straight to Bulbapedia.
