Talk:Aspertia City

I don't think this belongs in Unova's template until B/W 2 is released. Could somebody put it in it's own category?

Grammar Gun 20:11, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Why don't you think so? It's in Unova. So please elaborate. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:20, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Redundant Trivia

This is the first hometown to have either a Pokémon Center and the first to have a Trainers' school. Well that is also stated in the opening paragraph of the article. Do we really need it in both? --Pokemaster97 23:58, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

I think it's fine. First, the beginning only says that the PC and the school are there, not that Hiougi is the first hometown to have them. Second, firsts and onlys are usually in the trivia anyway. The trivia is worded kind of awkwardly, but I'll fix that in a minute. --Darth Zekrom 00:03, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
From the first paragraph: The city is respectively larger than other hometowns within the main series games and is the first to contain a Pokémon Center and a concreted path. --Pokemaster97 00:05, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed that right after I hit save page (of course). I think it should be in the trivia for consistency with all the other pages that are the first of this or the only that. The first paragraph doesn't say that Hiougi is the first hometown to have a Trainer's school, though, so if I'm wrong that probably needs to be added there. --Darth Zekrom 00:11, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
It honestly doesn't bother me if the trivia stays, I just wanted to get a second or third opinion about it. I'll go ahead and add the bit about the Trainer's school to the beginning. --Pokemaster97 00:19, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

English or Japanese?

Is the name of the city (Hiougi) the Japanese name of the player's hometown?Auraguardian197 17:02, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Japanese. --SnorlaxMonster 17:03, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Uh... what's a broken file link doing here?-- Lucario985 Chowolun 13:30, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

We don't have a B2W2 Unova in-game map, so we can't put a location map on the page yet. --SnorlaxMonster 13:39, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

English Name Revealed

Poké has revealed the English name of this city: Aspertia City ( --Ryu Shoji 13:24, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

As for the name origin, it's based on Undulatus asperatus. --超龍對話 13:35, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
  • When the Japenease website is translated into English, This city is called, Blackberry Lily City? TeamPlasma 19:51, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
When things are translated using an internet translator, everything may not be correct. Since "Aspertia City" was revealed by the official site, that's the one we're using. --Pokemaster97 20:44, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Main Image

Can we seriously replace that main image? It's an ugly scan while there are better images of the town, while not full of the town, still would appear better than THAT. I didn't just want to do it, rather get some opinions on the matter and which image. ----samm :) 07:19, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

I think a screenshot from the Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 Special Introduction Movie would be good, but I couldn't find any decent shots of the town. --SnorlaxMonster 09:13, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Possible origin for Aspertia City?

I noticed that, other than the standard cloud formation name origin, Aspertia appears to be similar to the words aspire, aspiration, etc. and the protagonist who lives there aspires to become Pokemon Champion. Could that be added to the origin section? Tadzo 19:08, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

You're overthinking this. --Maxim 19:53, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Trainer's school might actually be the Gym.

Because of the statues in front of the "Trainer's School", I think it's actually a Gym. All the other Unova gyms had those same statues in front, but the Trainer's school in Striaton did not, making me 99% positive that it's a Gym. Zarthga (talk) 07:21, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

But there's no definitive proof yet, so it's still just speculation. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 08:07, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
True, very true. Zarthga (talk) 09:10, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
It has been a considerable time since this post was added to, and it has not been changed, despite the bold writing in the info box at the very top stating no speculation. Can it be either removed or changed to "either a school or a Gym"?Tadzo (talk)
Honestly, I think it is likely to be both at the same time (like how Nacrene Gym was also a museum). What evidence do we have indicating that it's a school? Those are indeed Gym statues, so I don't see why they would be there if it is not a Gym. --SnorlaxMonster 12:13, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
It has now been confirmed to be a gym so maybe it should be changed. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 12:03, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Pokemon Lab

Aspertia City is one of few hometowns not to have a Pokemon Lab dispite its size. Robin Maximo (talk) 10:32, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

It's not the only one, so it's not notable. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 15:26, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
