History

Comfey debuted in First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!, where it put its lei around Ash's neck soon after Ash first came into contact with it. It also assisted Nurse Joy in treating Pikachu.

Comfey reappeared in Real Life...Inquire Within!, where it assisted Ash and his classmates when they were on work experience at the Pokémon Center. Multiple Comfey appeared during the Poké Problem extra scene, where they assisted the Akala Island Nurse Joy in returning to her main island.

Comfey reappeared again in Alola, Alola!. In Heart of Fire! Heart of Stone!, Nurse Joy was revealed to have given Brock one of her Comfey as a way of thanking him for helping her in the previous episode.

Personality and characteristics

Like most of Nurse Joy's Pokémon, Comfey is a helpful and caring Pokémon and is always ready to help injured or sick Pokémon. As shown in First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!, it had no problem sharing its lei with Ash, which soothed the Trainer with its aroma.

Comfey is shown to be concerned for Nurse Joy, as seen in Real Life...Inquire Within! where it tried to help her get better when she became ill.
