Anime character recycling

Character recycling is a term used when a single visual design for the Pokémon anime is used in multiple episodes for different, unrelated characters, usually characters of the day. When character recycling occurs, the characters are generally identical in appearance, with only small cosmetic changes like hair color differing between episodes.
