Akane (Japanese: アカネ Akane) is a recurring character who appeared in How I Became a Pokémon Card.

When her parents died shortly after her birth, Akane was raised by her grandfather. She loves flowers a lot and will often scold her Eevee whenever it plays in the flower garden. Even though she owns an Eevee, she actually dislikes Pokémon and thinks that they are only good for fighting. When her Eevee is later rescued from Team Rocket, she learns from her grandfather that she loved Pokémon when she was a baby. It was also the reason her grandfather decided to research Pokémon and was given an Eevee.
