Wyrdeer (Japanese: アヤシシ Ayashishi) is a dual-type Normal/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.
It evolves from Stantler in the Hisui region.
Biology
Wyrdeer is a snow deer Pokémon. It has a grey body with white spot and white fur. The antlers are gold with four spikes and one black orb on each. Wyrdeer has a brown nose. It has white fur mane and fur round tail. The hoof has white spike legs connected to them.
Wrydeer is well-beloved by the people in the Hisui region due to its highly-prized fur, which helps protect it from the cold. By using the orbs on its antlers, Wrydeer can unleash psychic powers strong enough to distort space. It also uses the antlers to lead Stantler herds and search for safe paths to travel.[1]
Trivia
Origin
Wyrdeer may be based on an arctic elk.
Name origin
Wyrdeer may be a combination of wyrd, weird, and deer.
Ayashishi may be a combination of 怪しい ayashii (strange) and 鹿威し shishiodoshi (a Japanese device traditionally used to scare deer and birds away from gardens).
