Differences between the between the anime and the manga

  • In the manga, Ash travels alone without his companions.
  • Dohga and Ether don't appear in the manga. Therefore, only Mega Alakazam, Mega Glalie, Mega Tyranitar, Mega Beedrill, Mega Manectric and Mega Banette appear in the manga, under control of Jarvis, along with his Mega Gengar.
  • Chymia and Racel don't appear in the manga. Without Chymia's vehicles, Ash has to travel on Volcanion's back, and later, with a jetpack.
  • Team Rocket doesn't appear at all.
  • Magearna actively fights to protect the Nebel Plateau, before surrender itself to Jarvis.
  • Ash doesn't use any Pokémon other than his Pikachu. This leads to a climax battle of 2 vs. 7.
  • As Squishy is not the manga, Nebel Plateau protected from the destructive beam is an effort of all Pokémon in the Plateau alone.
  • At the end of the manga, Jarvis was arrested by Officer Jenny, instead of Chymia.
