Olivia's Lycanroc (Japanese: ライチのルガルガンLychee's Lugarugan) is a Pokémon owned by Olivia in the anime, as a Midday Form Lycanroc; manga and games, as a Midnight Form Lycanroc.
Lycanroc first appeared in SM031 to help Kiawe's Charizard when it was struggling to deal with an out of control Tauros. Lycanroc quickly calms the Wild Bull Pokémon down. It is later seen getting acquainted with Ash's Rockruff. Afterwards, it helps fend off a wild Bruxish.
In SM036, Lycanroc was used during Olivia's grand trial battle against Ash, where it teamed up with Probopass to battle Ash's Rockruff and Rowlet. Despite proving to be a formidable opponent with its strength and speed, Lycanroc was eventually defeated by Rockruff's Rock Throw.
Lycanroc reappeared in SM037 where after hearing about Rockruff's disappearance, it left its trainer to go and find Rockruff. It eventually met up with Gladion's Lycanroc and took Rockruff to the Ruins of Life where they encountered Tapu Lele who attacked them. Lycanroc later watched as Rockruff evolved into Dusk Form. Afterwards, Lycanroc went back to Olivia.
Description: After its Trainer builds Z-Power with a series of poses, Lycanroc jumps into the air and summons multiple rocks from the ground, forming a huge boulder. It then hurls the boulder at the opponent. When the boulder hits the opponent, it explodes.
In the games
Olivia's Lycanroc appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon, battling in all of Olivia's battles.
Olivia's Lycanroc first appeared in PASM03, battling against Nanu's AlolanPersian. Lycanroc starts the battle quickly, striking the Classy Cat Pokémon with a powerful Rock Climb. Nanu has Persian counter with Nasty Plot, raising its special attack and then striking with Dark Pulse. The two Trainers then decide to go all-out and Olivia commands Lycanroc to use Continental Crush while Nanu commands Black Hole Eclipse. Hala jumps in the way of the two Pokémon and stops the battle before they destroy the stage.
