Starting Out

After you choose "NEW GAME", you are enquired your character's gender. Before long, Professor Araragi appears, and introduces you to the world of Pokémon. She then asks you to enter your name. It should be noted that this the first game to have no default names to select from.

After entering your name, you find yourself in your bedroom.

Cheren and Bel find you. You see a gift in front of you. What do you choose?

Your adventure, the sorrow of leaving

As you gaze upon a tattered and ragged, room, you stare at Bel and Cheren in an ague of indifference. They leave the room, and you too seem to agree. Your mom lets you rest to perk up your spirits.

Ahhh...

As your mom sees your future and your adventures ahead, she forces back a tear and bid you farewell.

You then proceed to breath in a whiff of fresh air as you step outside. Admire the greenery, as these might be one of the last moment you get to in this mild town of Kanoko. The Mamepato fly and the sun shines. You go to Bel's, and her father booms in a fit of fury. Deciding not to disturb the two, you then head to Professor Araragi's lab, to apologize for the use of her Pokémon. The duo join you.

Suspense grips you, but Araragi smiles and says that the Pokemon are yours.

This is your first Pokémon! Step onwards, an adventure AWAITS!

Cherry blossoms in the wind

You head out, when you see Bel and Cheren side by side. You join them, and you find Araragi in the midst of a battle, trying to show you how to catch Minezumi. Weaken it... and throw a Poké Ball. That concludes her lesson. She gives you 5 Poké Balls, and trudges towards her lab.
