Nosing 'Round the Mountain! (Japanese: ダイノーズ！熱き魂!! Dainose! Burning Spirit) is the 58th episode of the Diamond & Pearl series, and the 524th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on December 6, 2007 and in the United States on May 24, 2008.
Ash and his friends meet a boy called Alan who has a Nosepass. Ash asks for a battle with him and he agrees. The two go and have a battle, but it is then called off by Alan because he wants to battle near Mt. Coronet so his Nosepass can evolve.
Synopsis
Ash and his friends meet a boy called Alan who has a Nosepass. Ash asks for a battle with him and he agrees. The two go and have a real battle, but the battle is then called off by Alan because he wants to battle near Mt. Coronet so his Nosepass can evolve.
Then, they start another battle and Alan's Nosepass evolves into Probopass, which Dawn looks up on her Pokédex. Ash and Alan continue the battle, but a kind of helmet falls on Probopass's head. Probopass starts doing bad things because team rocket controls it, even attacking its own trainer.
Team Rocket appear and tell Alan, Ash, and his friends that they are controlling Probopass. They go away and leave the Rock/Steel Pokémon with them.
Ash, Dawn, Brock and Alan go searching for Team Rocket. Ash, Dawn, brock and alan find team rocket. alan tries to go stop team rocket but ash stops him and states that if he tries to rescue probopass he will get attacked. ash sends out his buizel. buizel shoots meowth and jessie with some water. then he goes to get the remote. then he dropped it causing team rocket to notice buizel. in response wobuffet and buizel fight for the remote then starvaia knocks it into the air. in response ash jumps to catch the remote. then jessie's dustox uses whirlwind. ash fails to catch the remote he falls in the water then it smacks into probopasses probopass mind manipulator anttenae. after the remote gets destroyed probopass stil continues to do bad things. first it attacks team rocket then ash and friends. allan hops on probopass to get rid of it's helmet thingy. then probopass. allan asks pikachu to use thunderbolt on it. both allan and probpass get shocked. then allan comes up with a plan to get buizel to use water gun, pikachu to attack with thunder bolt and pachirisu to use discharge! then that knocks him in the lake. allan disattaches the helmet and attacks team rocket after getting out of the water team rocket blasts off. then ash and allan finish there battle the end

- This episode takes place while Ash and co. are traveling from Hearthome City to Solaceon Town; however, Mt. Coronet is not found between those two settlements.
- This is one of the few episodes of the Diamond & Pearl series where Dawn's Piplup does not appear.
