Effect

One Ball of Mud is required to craft a Sticky Glob.

Throwing a Ball of Mud directly at a Pokémon will temporarily stun it. As part of Mission 22: "The Plate of Firespit Island", the player must throw Balls of Mud directly at Heatran to weaken the flaming barrier around it, allowing an opening for a Pokémon battle.
