VS. Anorith & Lileep (Japanese: VS. アノプス & リリーラ VS. Anopth & Lilyla or 美の師弟コンビ Master and Disciple of Beauty) is the 225th round of the Pokémon Adventures manga in the Ruby & Sapphire arc.
Synopsis
Wallace and his Elizabeth win the out-of-Pokémon Contest Pokémon battle against Ruby easily. Ruby is in shock, but asks Wallace to be his instructor. He reviews the battle: how Elizabeth formed a Tough-Beauty combo of Rain Dance and Water Pulse. Then Ruby's Pokémon became nervous because of Sweet Kiss. Ruby acknowledges that he's finally met a Contest master, but Wallace refuses. He drives away in his car, but with the Running Shoes, he manages to catch up. Wallace's helpers scream. He takes a Soot Sack from them and collects tons of soot. Wallace says that they must proceed to Prof. Cozmo's lab.
At the lab, Gabby and Tyler are listening to Prof. Cozmo's assistants about the ancient legend. Tyler thinks it might just be a myth and says that it's a wasted trip. Gabby isn't listening though. Then Wallace arrives with Ruby in hot pursuit. Ruby and Tyler look at an Anorith and a Lileep in a glass cage. Wallace hears from Tyler that Ruby is a Gym Leader's son. Wallace tests Ruby by having Elizabeth unlock the cage. Lileep and Anorith escape, but are calmed down by one of Ruby's Pokémon*. Tyler puts them back into the cage. Wallace changes his mind and accepts Ruby as a student, leaving his other helpers at the lab. Gabby asks Prof. Cozmo's assistants one last question: Why isn't there a documentation of what happened at Mt. Chimney? The assistants tell her that the media withheld the info from the public! Gabby calls her boss and asks him about the broadcast restriction. He tells her that that was an internal desicion and that they should only focus on Team Magma.
The next morning, Ruby runs out of the Contest Hall and up to Wallace. He tells Wallace that he and Mimi have won the Super Rank Beauty Contest. He and Wallace get in the latter's car, which starts to fly. In the sky, Ruby hears from Wallace that they're going to the most beautiful city in Hoenn. Then Ruby sees Sapphire riding on Pilo, but doesn't know who they are. He tells Wallace about the thing flying under the clouds following them.
