Kyle Sucevich, known affectionately as Pooka, born February 4, 1989, is one of the most successful Pokémon Trading Card Game players of all-time. Sucevich boasts a long list of accomplishments, including arguably the most impressive collection of finishes at the U.S. National Championships. He is also, along with Josue Rojano, Michael Pramawat, and Drew Holton, a founding member of The Top Cut, a popular Pokémon TCG fansite focusing on competitive aspects of the game.

Personal

Sucevich is currently pursuing a degree in computer science at Marquette University in Wisconsin. In-person, he is relatively quiet and analytical while remaining friendly and personable.

Trivia

  • While he has had a remarkable showing at the United States National Championships, Sucevich has had largely lackluster performances in the World Championships he has attended. Interestingly, this is a similar situation as that of two-time World Champion Jason Klaczynski, who rarely performs well at Nationals.
