Matcha Gotcha (Japanese: シャカシャカほう Rustle-Rustle Cannon) is a damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature move of Sinistcha.

Effect

Matcha Gotcha deals damage and restores the user's HP equal to up to half of the damage dealt. It also has a 20% chance of burning the target.

If the user is holding a Big Root, the HP restored is increased by 30% (making the restored HP 65% of the damage dealt). Big Root does not increase the damage dealt.

If the target has the Ability Liquid Ooze, the user will lose the amount of HP it would have gained instead.

Matcha Gotcha cannot be used if the user is under the effects of Heal Block.

If either the user or the target is frozen, they will be thawed by Matcha Gotcha.

Description

Games Description
SV The user fires a blast of tea that it mixed. The user's HP is restored by up to half the damage taken by the target. This may also leave the target with a burn.
