Giant (Japanese: Ｇ高田 Giant Takada) is a character of the day who appeared in The Punchy Pokémon.

History

Giant, tied up, and stripped by Jessie

Giant and his Hitmonlee were going to be competitors in the P1 Grand Prix. Team Rocket wanted to compete as well, so they could win the grand prize. Realizing they didn't have any Fighting-type Pokémon, they decided to steal one.

Unfortunately for Giant, his Hitmonlee was the first Pokémon the trio saw. Somehow, they snuck up on him, tied him up, stole his clothes, and locked him in a bathroom stall. Using his Hitmonlee, Team Rocket entered the tournament disguised as Giant, and managed to get to the finals. However, Ash caught on to their plan, when trying to beat them in the finals (with James poking his head out helping to spoil the disguise and have Ash and his friends deduce Team Rocket's involvement), and was able to defeat them with his Primeape. It is not known what happened to Giant after Team Rocket robbed him.

Hitmonlee is Giant's only known Pokémon. He was seen walking with Giant before Jessie tied him up and used Hitmonlee during the tournament. Hitmonlee's first match in the tournament was Brock's Geodude, but due to it taking a lot of damage, Brock threw in the towel. Hitmonlee later defeated a Machoke and Anthony's Hitmonchan, though unfairly. Hitmonlee, however, was defeated by Primeape under Ash and Anthony's guidance. It is unknown if Hitmonlee was returned to Giant.

Hitmonlee's known moves are Jump Kick* and High Jump Kick*.
