The Type Expert Tournament is a tournament held within the wider Pokémon World Tournament competition. Entry to this tournament is through the right-hand attendant.
Tournament description
Entrants to this tournament will battle Trainers who are known to be experts within one particular type. Both the player and their opponents are restricted to using Pokémon of one specified type. Most participants are Gym Leaders from around the known Pokémon world; due to the rarity of Poison-, Ground-, Psychic-, Bug-, Dragon-, Ghost-, and Template:Type2 Gym Leaders (and lack of Template:Type2 Gym Leaders), ten Trainers who are not known Gym Leaders compete as well.
