Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Red and Blue/Pokémon LeafGreen
- Legend has it that on rare occasions, one of its heads will drop off and continue on as an Exeggcute
- Pokémon Yellow
- Its cries are very noisy. This is because each of the three heads thinks about whatever it likes.
- Pokémon Gold
- Its three heads think independently. However, they are friendly and never appear to squabble.
- Pokémon Silver

- Pokémon Crystal
- Living in a good environment makes it grow lots of heads. A head that drops off becomes an Exeggcute.
- Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire
- Exeggutor originally came from the tropics. Its heads steadily grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight. It is said that when the heads fall off, they group together to form Exeggcute.
- Pokémon Emerald
- Originally from the tropics, Exeggutor's heads grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight. It is said that when the heads fall, they group to form an Exeggcute.
- Pokémon FireRed
- Its called "The Walking Tropical Rainforest". Each of the nuts has a face and will of its own.
Name origin
Exeggutor's name is a combination of egg and executor, someone who kills. Its Japanese name may be based on 梨 nashi, which is the general word for pear, but may refer specifically to the Nashi Pear.
It appears to be based on a coconut tree.

This "Walking Tropical Rain Forest" first appeared in EP043. Ash was hypnotised by Melvin's Exeggcute and was forced to capture several Exeggcutor for Melvin. Unfortunetly, all of the Exeggutor used Hypnosis on each other and they went on a rampage.
In EP103, Rudy used an Exeggcutor against Ash's Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur managed to defeat it, but it also saved the Coconut Tree Pokémon from falling down a cliff.
