Color palette

Moving this page to Color palette would imply that it is supposed to talk about the color palettes of all games and generations, right?

I wonder if we need to document some information about palettes from generations III to IX, and also the spin-off games. Maybe at least the color depth available in all generations and games could be interesting information. But as is, the page is really just about gens 1 and 2, so in my opinion it would be OK to keep it with the current title Color palette (Generations I–II).

Alternatively, we can think if it may or may not be a good idea to split this page into Color palette (Generation I) and Color palette (Generation II). --Daniel Carrero (talk) 17:34, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

If we want to just limit the scope of the page without a parenthetical, a more natural title might be something like "Game Boy color palettes" or "Color palettes in Generations I–II". --Abcboy (talk) 19:21, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
Personally, I've been thinking maybe it's best to use "Generations I–II" instead of "Game Boy" in the title, since this article also covers the details about how SNES, GBA, Game Cube, 3DS, etc treat the Generations I–II core series games. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 21:38, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
I'd go for Color palettes in Generations I and II based on current conventions and the updates to the manual of style. Landfish7 04:02, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
Or maybe Generation I and II color palettes. Landfish7 14:32, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
If we split this into two pages, I would suggest using Color palettes in Generation I and Color palettes in Generation II. The reason being that we usually place the generation at the end of the title, as seen in examples like "List of Pokémon by Hoenn Pokédex number in Generation III". --Daniel Carrero (talk) 14:39, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
I do kinda like the merged page, as you can directly see the changes from Gen I to II. Landfish7 14:42, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
Return to "Color palette (Generations I–II)" page.
