So I was just playing Pokémon Stadium and was kind of taken aback when an NPC trainer's Jynx used Mega Kick. It seems Jynx has a unique animation in this game for "kicking moves" that shows an oversized black/purple foot that looks just like the feet seen in [[EP090]]. Blackface caricatures were fairly common in Japanese media at the time and while there's no way to definitively prove its origin, ignoring it completely feels a little, I don't know, biased?
