:I suspect that this was inspired by the Anime where it was common for Ash to get ground types wet for Pikachu to shock them (Brock's Onyx and Pryce's Piloswine) as well as the occasional 'insulated' Team Rocket robot that wound up getting dowsed with water in order for pikachu to shock them.  ([[User:Shivafang|Shivafang]] 01:35, 16 February 2012 (UTC))

:: For what it's worth, Lightning Rod doesn't provide immunity, just causes the attack to be focused on them (therefore only applicable in double battles).  Mancetric still takes damage ([[User:Shivafang|Shivafang]] 01:35, 16 February 2012 (UTC))
