In Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, a man near the Pokémon Center on Route 32 offers to sell the player a Slowpoke Tail for $1,000,000; however, it cannot be purchased, as this is more money than the player can carry in these games. Later, the player discovers Team Rocket harvesting Slowpoke Tails from Slowpoke in the Slowpoke Well in Azalea Town. After Team Rocket is defeated, the man in Route 32 disappears.
In Pokémon X and Y, Slowpoke Tail is one of the dishes served by Restaurant Le Yeah in Lumiose City.
In the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version, a Police Officer at the Hau'oli City Marina stakes out what he believes is a Slowpoke Tail deal; instead, the meeting is simply two people fawning over each other's Slowpoke.
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, Peppered Slowpoke Tail on Salad, Slowpoke Tail Quiche, and Slowpoke Tail Sandwiches are listed on a shelf in the Thrifty Megamart, although the player cannot purchase any of them. Additionally, Slowpoke's Pokédex entry in Pokémon Sun states that its tail often breaks off without harming the Slowpoke, and that it grows back later, whereas its Pokémon Moon Pokédex entry states that dried Slowpoke tails are often used in Alolan home-cooked stews.
In Pokémon GO, Sierra appears to have a Slowpoke Tail hanging off the back corner of her bag.
