Ryūzaburō Ōtomo

Ryūzaburō Ōtomo (Japanese: 大友龍三郎 Ōtomo Ryūzaburō) is a Japanese voice actor for the Pokémon animated series.

Biography

Ōtomo was born on May 18, 1952, in Tokyo, Japan. As an adult, he became a voice actor and led a long voice acting career since the mid-1970s. For the Pokémon anime, Ōtomo initially voiced Muramasa, a character of the day who appeared in the original series; and Corey's Venusaur, nicknamed Bruteroot, in the first movie. He then voiced Snowbelle City Gym Leader Wulfric during Pokémon the Series: XY. He has affiliations with the talent agencies Aoni Production and 81 Produce, as well as the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society.
