Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the English Flashfire expansion, first released in the Japanese Wild Blaze expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Ken Sugimori. The Regular print was later reprinted in the Japanese M Charizard-EX Mega Battle Deck, M Rayquaza-EX Mega Battle Deck, M Master Deck Build Box Power Style and M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style (released August 7, 2015), the English Ancient Origins expansion, and in the Japanese BREAK Starter Pack. A Mirror Reverse Holofoil version of the Regular print was included in the Premium Champion Pack in Japan. The Regular print was reprinted in the Japanese Premium Trainer Box during the Sun & Moon Era. This print uses the XY Era Trainer card layout instead of the Sun & Moon Era layout. The Japanese The Best of XY subset and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box later reprinted the Regular print and also used the old layout.

Trivia
- This card's effect matches that of Gust of Wind, a card previously released in the Base Set, as well as the Black & White Series print of Pokémon Catcher. As neither are Supporter cards, they can both be played more than once per turn.
- This card's effect is identical to Boss's Orders. A ruling upon its release stated that Lysandre and Boss's Orders could not be included in the same deck.
Origin
Lysandre is the boss of Team Flare and the primary antagonist of Pokémon X and Y. The entrance of the Lysandre Labs, also known as Lysandre Café, is featured in the Regular print's illustration.
