(Japanese: ホウジ Houji) is a character of the day who appeared in SS007. He is a Pokémon Trainer from Lavaridge Town.

Houji ran into Ash and Go at the Hoenn Battle Frontier and quickly became rivals with them, particularly Go, who he looked down on due to the latter's excitement over catching a mere Taillow. Houji later entered the Battle Frontier Flute Cup and easily defeated Go. He advanced through the tournament, winning almost every battle, until he went up against Ash in the final round and lost to his Pikachu. After the battle, Houji thanked Ash for the match.
