The Pokémon Mansion journals were likely written by Dr. Fuji as well, as Pokémon Mansion is right next to Pokémon Lab, founded by Dr. Fuji. :::Dr. Fuji is not a game character. The name is mentioned a single time, and the idea is for the gaps in the message on Faraway Island to be easily completed. This type of message would not include a character that has only been mentioned once ever (and not in any particular emphasis or part of the story or even a side quest). So if they are separate characters, it makes no sense to assume it is Dr. Fuji, so Mr. Fuji should be used; if they are the same character, then you may as well use the usual name of the character since that is what he goes by.
