Red (Japanese: レッド Red) is the main character of Pokemon Origins.

		Charmander → Charmeleon → Charizard
		Red obtained Charmander from Professor Oak when he was sent out to fill up the Pokédex. Charizard's known moves are Scratch, Ember, Growl, Flamethrower, Mega Punch, Fire Spin, and Fire Blast.

		Rattata
		Rattata was Red's first capture. It was sent out to battle against Brock's Onix and lost.

		Spearow
		Spearow was caught during Red's travels. It was sent out to battle against Brock's Onix and lost.

		Caterpie → Metapod
		Caterpie was briefly seen being registered in the PokéDex. Sometime before Red challenged Brock, Caterpie evolved into Metapod and challenged Onix. Despite using String Shot to slow Onix down, Metapod lost after its Tackle attack failed. Metapod's known moves are String Shot and Tackle.

		Pidgey was only seen being registered in the PokéDex.

		Nidoran♂
		Nidoran♂ was sent out during Red's match against Brock. Despite dealing damage to Geodude, he fell to Brock's Onix after Brock switched Geodude out.

		Magikarp was given to Red by the Magikarp salesman.

		Jolteon
		Red first used Jolteon in Lavender Tower to take on Team Rocket. It was able to defeat their Koffing with the help of Cubone. Jolteon was then used in the Gym battle against Giovanni where his Rhyhorn defeated it. Later, Jolteon was one of the Pokémon who participated in the Pokémon League, Jolteon's known moves are Thunder, Quick Attack, and Double Kick.

		Snorlax
		Red encountered a Snorlax by playing the Poké Flute. He was able to catch it and later used it in his Gym battle against Giovanni where it was called out midway.

		Red caught Psyduck after hooking it.

		Lapras
		Lapras is given by an employee of Silph Co. in its mission to defeat Team Rocket members in the building, since then Red uses it as a means of transportation on his journey. Lapras is used in its last battle at the Pokémon League against Blue's Rhydon where it emerged victorious but lost to Blue's Arcanine. Lapras's known moves are Surf and Ice Beam.

		Haunter → Gengar
		Haunter was first used against Sabrina's Alakazam. It reappeared as a Gengar while Red was in Cerulean Cave. Gengar's only known move is Shadow Punch.

		Victreebel was the first Pokémon used in Red's Gym battle against Giovanni where it went up against Giovanni's Rhyhorn and lost in one turn.

		Kabutops was used to battle Giovanni's Rhyhorn and lost.

		Hitmonlee ♂
		Hitmonlee was sent out during Red's battle with Giovanni where he drew against Giovanni's Rhyhorn. Hitmonlee's known moves are Hi Jump Kick, Rolling Kick, and Mega Kick.

		Red used Scyther in his league battles against Bruno's Onix and Blue.

		Dodrio
		Red used Dodrio in his league battles against Agatha's Gengar and Blue. Dodrio's only known move is Drill Peck.

		Red first used this Persian in his league match against Blue, where it did not make it as Charizard was the last one standing.

		After the Pokémon League, Red encountered a Fearow and battled it with Persian. After the battle, he caught it.

		Arbok briefly appeared in the episode where Red threw a Great Ball at it.

		Red encountered Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. It was very strong as it took most of Red's team to take it on. Mewtwo was finally caught when Red's Charizard in its Mega Evolved form weakened it. Mewtwo's known moves are Psychic, Recover, Swift.

Red has more than 150 Pokémon in his collection including each one of the Pokémon featured in Generation I, he caught several Pokémon off screen.
