Ash's Goomy (Japanese: サトシのヌメラSatoshi's Numera) is the fourth Pokémon Ash caught in the Kalos region.
History
In XY055, Goomy was dropped from the sky from a Swanna onto Ash's head, it looked weak and tired so Ash and his friends took it to a lake to heal, and after having water poured on it by them, Goomy quickly recovered its health. After recovering, Dedenne appeared and Goomy was scared of it and hid behind Ash, as it being a Dragon-type Pokémon was weak to Fairy-type Pokémon, it then affectionately played with Ash and friends but used Rain Dance on Serena when she annoyed it. After traveling for a while, Chespin used Pin Missile on a tree to get apples, which startled an Ariados, frightening Goomy since Ariados was a Bug-type Pokémon, and hiding behind Pikachu until Clemont convinced it to stop attacking. After losing water after becoming scared, Clemont then used one of his machines to see why Goomy was scared of Bug-type Pokémon, where it was revealed that its homeland was attacked by various other Bug-type Pokémon, until Goomy and other inhabitants were rescued by Swanna, the machine then broke. After Ash and the other were pinned to a tree by Team Rocket, Goomy and Pikachu were captured. Though the cage absorbed Pikachu's Thunderbolt, Pikachu barged into the cage until he made a hole, though Pikachu was unable to squeeze through, Goomy was but Team Rocket returned and it covered the hole from sight. Using its slimy body, it made Pikachu slimy and freed him as well. Whilst escaping on Pikachu's back, it was chased by James but Goomy tripped him up with Rain Dance. Jessie sent out Pumpkaboo, Ash protected Goomy and Pikachu from Shadow Ball. Fletchinder and Pikachu tried to battle Team Rocket but they were confused by Inkay's Psybeam and attacked each other and Ash. When they launched more attacks, Goomy protected Ash by using its slimy body to prevent itself from taking damage and used Bide to defeat the two Pokémon and Team Rocket. Later Goomy indicated to Pikachu that it wanted to go with Ash, so Ash captured Goomy using a Poké Ball.
Personality and characteristics

Goomy is a very friendly Pokémon, as it likes to show its affection to others by suckling on their ears. It has also proven to be a capable fighter, but was initially scared until it decided to help Ash. Goomy is easily frightened and is afraid of Fairy-type and Bug-type Pokémon, such as Ariados and Dedenne. When depressed or insulted, Goomy tends to use Rain Dance on the offender, as seen when it used the move against Serena.
As shown in XY055, Goomy has a slimy body, which can help reflect attacks without it taking damage or it can put slime on others, making them slimy, as shown when it used this on Pikachu, to help it escape from Team Rocket's cage.
