Misty's Goldeen (Japanese: カスミのトサキント Kasumi's Tosakinto) was the one of the three original Pokémon acquired by Misty in the Kanto region. Its Japanese voice actress is Ikue Ohtani and its English voice actress is Rachael Lillis.

Misty does not use it very often because it cannot battle or maneuver outside of water. However, in the Pikachu short, Pikachu And Pichu, Misty's Goldeen is seen being able to hop around on land to move. Her Goldeen has proved helpful when Misty and her friends need assistance swimming or locating something underwater.

Goldeen was first used in Pokemon Emergency to distract Team Rocket whilst Ash rescued the Pokemon in the center. It's 'battling' consisted of flailing around on the floor.

Goldeen was more at home in water, and so was used in the sunken St.Anne as a scout to try and find a way out. It instead discovered Team Rocket, who would otherwise have drowned.

Goldeen, due to essentially being a fish, had difficulty battling on land, therefore it was used very little in battle, and when it was, it generally did poorly due to it's lack of battle experience, two such examples are a battle against Marina, where it lost to her Tentacruel, before Misty's Staryu took over and won. It was also used against Molly Hale's Kingdra, where it was again swiftly defeated. Oddly, it was again succeeded in battle by Staryu, presenting a potential hierarchy structure within Misty's Team, with Goldeen being the apparent weakest.
