Ash and his friends arrive in Solaceon Town, where they meet Dawn's childhood friend Kenny again. He tells them that he intends to visit the Solaceon Ruins, a place of worship for Dialga and Palkia. The group follows him and decides to have a battle in front of the ruins.

Dialga's diamond and Palkia's pearl with the three plates.

This is exactly the same message shown in Top-Down Training except it's in four lines instead of six.

  • In the dub version, Dawn reads: When every life meets another life, something will be born.
  • The coin toss application in Dawn's Pokétch makes its second appearance.
  • Not including the third movie, this is Unown's second appearance after Address Unown. However, the "!" and "?" Unown have yet to make an appearance in anime.
  • The Unown's confusion can cause the distortion of the ruins.
  • This episode is aired along with Team Shocker in Japan. As a result, the ending credits are shown in the next episode.
  • The three plates Team Galactic used to obtain the cube from the Solaceon Ruins (Splash Plate, Iron Plate, and Draco Plate) correspond to the three types of Dialga and Palkia combined.
  • Dialga's diamond and Palkia's pearl can be seen where Team Galactic placed the plates.

Errors

Dub edits

  • It is not shown that Bronzor used Teleport. Instead, he used Confuse Ray. How they managed to escape is unknown.
  • The tablet changed to the same as in Top-Down Training!.
