Misty's Azurill
Misty's Azurill (Japanese: カスミのルリリ Kasumi's Ruriri) is a Pokémon which was aquired by Misty shortly before Ash entered the Battle Frontier in the Pokémon anime.
It is the child of Tracey's Marill, though it is unknown which Pokémon was the other parent. Presumably, though, it was another Marill or an Azumarill, since getting an Azurill requires having both its parents be Marill or Azumarill. It is also unknown why Misty has an Azurill, though she expressed a desire to have a Marill in EP132. Some believe that Tracey chose to give Misty the Azurill for reasons besides the fact that she would like one, and therefore it is a hint for OrangeShipping, but there is little detail given on the subject and therefore this is purely speculation.It's english voice actress is Kayzie Rogers
Azurill is only seen for a brief period, carried in the arms of Misty during AG132, AG133 and AG134. In the first episode, we only see it at the very end, enough to know it exists and learn that she carries it in her arms in the same way as she carried her Togepi. In the next, it is revealed to be the child of Tracey's Marill, and it is used alongside the Marill fighting Team Rocket with Water Gun. In the final episode, it interacts very Animewell with other Pokémon, most notably a wild Cleffa, and uses a unique move, Refresh, which Azurill can only learn as an Egg Move.
Due to how little this Pokémon has been seen, not much is known about it. It is possible that more could be derived about this Pokémon's origin and personality if Misty herself was seen more often in the Pokémon anime, but there is no clear sign of this happening any time in the near future, and therefore Azurill remains mostly a mystery.
