If I remember correct MissingNo doesn't have a standard TM/HM set...
Ehem. If MISSINGNO has a hex, it has a HM/TM list as well, asigned to the HEX. WHEEE
Darkmewham2!
I am also unsure about the validity of the HM/TM list and for its base stats too. In my opinion these values are semi-random, depending on the memory part that affects its appearence. Maybe someone can run some research on that? On and please don't come up with another "if it has a hex" line again... --Arty2 20:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
I added more TMs to the list, as seen on [1]. They did extensive research into such glitches as Missingno., and came up with that TM and HM list. --Missingno. Master 10:53, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Either missingno. or some other glitch somehow did permanent damage to my Red.
The bit in a rom storing the color pallete for GBC/GBA/Super Game Boy was somehow modified, and so my game has screwed up colors. Does anyone know how it's even possible for this value to be modified? I assumed it was hardcoded. Also, is there a gameshark code I could use that will correct this value? --1338h4x 23:36, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Does it affect the entire game? Or only happen when your game is loaded? MK 02:17, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- The whole game, no matter how many times I erase data. Aside from the strange colors though, the rest of the game functions fine. --1338h4x 23:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, that's strange. I always thought the default GBC colors were coded into the system. Maybe it depends on the game. --Libertyernie 19:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- If you press buttons while the GBC is booting up, you can change the palette. I take it this defines a set handful of colors for the game to draw upon, each one assigned to a value. --1338h4x 00:58, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Power Plant coast?
Is it possible in Pokémon Red & Blue to catch Missingno. or other non-water Pokémon on the coast near the Power Plant rather than the Cinnabar coast? I broke my Blue (by foolishly using a Game Genie) so I can't test it out. --Libertyernie 19:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- I doubt it. The reason the missingno glitch occurs is that Cinnabar has no Pokemon defined for surf encounters, despite the existance of one stip of water, the coast. As such, the variable for encounters is set at whatever it was last, like the safari zone. Old Man's weedle is either M or Missingno, I forget which. Your other encounters are determined by your name, since that's where the game chooses to store the string while replacing your name with OLD MAN. --1338h4x 00:58, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
DP Missingno.?
I've seen that video on YouTube before, and I figured that it needed mentioning here in Missingno.'s article, since it has the similar appearance. Anyway, does anyone have DP who's tried the glitch who can give a firsthand account? Tom Temprotran 13:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
MissingNo. in the Japanese green verison?
Does MissingNo. appear in the Japanese green verison? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Asukagirl (talk • contribs).
- Far as I know it does. Our Blue was based off Green's wild Pokémon, so if it's there in Blue, it's there in Green. Tom Temprotran 03:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Remember the old rumors?
I remember back in the day, like... eight years ago? Anyhow, I remember the stories that were circulating around GameFAQs and Pokemon fansites about... well, this and other things, but this one especially. I remember the best being that if you see missingno., you needed to immediately kill it to prevent your game from being fried. I dunno about you guys, but since this was before the internet was really huge, I start selling people khangaskans. Never hurt me, except I lost a file on my Red once. But I had like, ninty kangaskans, so I would trade them to other kids for like, twenty bucks. I was rolling in dough for several weeks. It was great.
Seafoam Islands
Why isn't the fact that MissingNo. can also be found at Seafoam Island mentioned here? Even Pokemon.com mentioned this fact once when they mentioned the Safari Zone glitch. Of coarse, they did make a mistake when they said that MissingNo. can appear if you preform the Safari Zone Glitch and not the MissingNo. glitch itself. I'd like to add that part to this article, however, I won't until someone else agrees with me on this issue or better yet, adds it themselves. --Jake 19:49, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
I think it's not in here because you can't find Missingno. at Seafoam Island. Yes, its coast has the same programming error as Cinnibar, but you can't get to Seafoam Island directly from Viridian like you can with Cinnibar. You have to SURF from Fuchsia or Cinnibar, and entering a route with wild Pokemon during the glitch process effectively nullifies it. Fsilone 02:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- You can. Routes 19 and 20 only have data for Pokémon found while surfing. No grass. Grass data is used for the coasts. User:TTEchidna/sig 02:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

- That's my question, what was so wrong about leaving it as Missingno.?
- As for references, well... we COULD ask Nintendo their stance on the name... I've had Insomniac answer more meaningless questions. TTEchidna 09:41, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Do Ketsuban come from the kana within the old japanese games? Because, a "ketsuban" is a kind of annoying moskito wich dwells in lakes and rivers. - Missingno. isn't really a Pokémon.. it doesn't have gender differences, it doesn't need a Biology section, etc... User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 03:41, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
It's a glitch Pokémon, it's there, it's in the game, you can not deny that. There is no problem in having biology for glitch Pokémon, because they are still actual Pokémon. What do you have against game location of Missingno.? Or it's special abilities? There is no problem with them being there. GlinnFile:Ani202MS.gif 03:47, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nintendo does not consider it a Pokémon, and consensus seems to be that we don't either. We don't need a "gender differences" section for a (glitch) Pokémon that has no gender. True, but that is a more detailed explanation, where as the one Missingno. Master was putting was just simple. If people wanted more information, they could just scroll up/down the page. Yes, Ninetendo doesn't consider it a Pokémon, but the fact of the matter is that t's in the game, and it CAN be used in battle. That's at least a bit of a Pokémon, no? I dont Know how to post pictures.--Glatra 23:32, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Do you have some kind of printer where you can scan the picture onto paint?User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 23:32, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, just put it on ImageShack. User:TTEchidna/sig 23:34, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wait... Can you get the pictures onto your computer?User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 23:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

- I still smell something fishy. You can't prove it, your name's the same as the glitch's, and it seems like it's a "fight the Elite four 1120820984 times"/get Pikablu!!!" trick. Borrow a video camera, or someone who has one AND an AR AND is willing to risk their save file volunteer. Pokemaniac, don't volunteer Tina. She can refuse to if she wants. Someone who WANTS to do it should. User:TTEchidna/sig 23:43, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- The name is possibly that because the person's only reason for making an account here was to tell us about Glatra and made an account with the same name.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 23:47, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- As I always say, wait until there's no doubt. When there's no proof to something, then don't act. If it can be proven undoubtably, I will give the go-ahead. User:TTEchidna/sig 23:53, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah! You don't see me making a new article titled Glatra. Anyway, I'm offline now. Out of battery.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 23:56, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

- You're still arguing for it, though. I say wait for proof. Proof that cannot be shopped, like that of a camera recording the DS. User:TTEchidna/sig 00:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Oy.
This talk page grew by like a mile in less than an hour. Guys, freaking slow down. If Glatra is real, someone will come along and prove it. If not, well, hey, that proves it doesn't exist. We gotta be scientific about it. User:TTEchidna/sig 00:08, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then how do we prove it? I don't have my game currently with me.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, if someone encounters it, they should pause their game, tape the footage of the glitch Pokémon, and upload it onto YouTube (or another video upload site) and ask the other users to watch it. If I say that Ash Ketchum has Genital Herpes, are you going to take me at face value and allow me to add it to the trivia section? I think not. Whereas, if I had visual proof, we would. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifニョロトノ666File:Spr 3e 186.gif 01:15, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well who's gonna do it? If this glitch does exists, probably no one knows that it does exists.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:19, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ask the game data. I say (Not Bulbapedia, this time. My mind.) if it's in the data, it's notable. Hence why we have so many RBY glitches -- there was plenty of open data for the glitches to roam, unlike the newer games. User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 01:24, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah. But if it exists, it has data. And that data is part of the game (not that it was meant to be there in the first place). So it is notable.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- Nonono, not that way.. I mean this data. That's what I mean by data. Compare that to the likes of this one. Note that there's much more glitches in the latter. User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 01:34, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see. Why don't we just delete the MissingNo. article?!User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- What? No. It's an important article! User:Theryguy512/Sig 01:37, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- It's probably the most well-known Pokémon glitch, most unlike the aforementioned "Gladra" or whatever it was. User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 01:47, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- You would of course know that it was Glatra, only pretending to forget its name to further your reason. Anyway, So it's a matter of popularity... How idiotic.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, seriously. I forgot whether it was a d or a t that was in its name. Damn my short-term memory.
- Also, if you call it 'popularity', then you're probably insulting all of Bulbapedia.. It's not a popularity contest, it's just.. notable. Notable, notable, notable. Missingno is pre-tty damned notable. User:TinaTheKirlia/Sig 01:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Let's say that Glatra does exists and it becomes well-known as well. Are you gonna make an article then? It is also stupid for only to write notable things. What would happen if Ash Ketchum would catch something and that was never mentioned again? Are you gonna put that into the website?User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 01:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Okay moving on with something better...
- Okay... Lets say that Satoshi Tajiri mentioned during an interview that he was planning to create some type of Pokémon in a very quick and easy-to-miss quote. Would that be notable? Would it? Would it? Or would it be more notable than a Pokémon that already exists (even if it is a glitch).User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- Any official Pokémon is more notable than a glitch. We'll have an article for the first Gen V Pokémon the moment Nintendo mentions it. --FabuVinny T-C-S 02:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I meant as in generation I as he was going to create one but didn't. And he didn't give any other information about it other than that quote.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- The overall point: Missingno. can be found and proven by anyone. All they need is six badges in Red and Blue. Then just do the Missingno trick. Pow. There it is. Proven. Notable.
- Glatra, however, has NOT been proven AT ALL. Though I suppose, because you want Glatra to get an article without proof, we might as well move May's Eevee to May's Glaceon, Ash's Chimchar to Ash's Infernape, and so on. After all, most are SURE that THEY WILL EVOLVE, right?! User:TTEchidna/sig 02:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

OY YOU'RE MISSING MY WHOLE POINT! I want proof before the article is made!User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think you can't add anything without proof that people have seen other than your friends friend --DarthCookieMonster 02:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly, I will believe it when I see it even though I probably already believe it.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:17, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

So its settled. No article --DarthCookieMonster 02:18, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- WHY? No one hasn't even tried to prove it yet! Why don't you?User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:23, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Someone here has been childish lately. Can't you calm down????? >: O File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yea, seriously.....calm is key! User:Theryguy512/Sig 02:27, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I am calm. I'm just using many "!" and "?" to exagerate myself.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:28, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Someone should do this on their game and then post it here to be judged if it is photoshopped --DarthCookieMonster 02:31, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Like I said, my game is currently unavailable to me at this moment.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:31, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I mean "calm down" with the childish attitude. Understood? File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:34, 10 January 2008 (UTC)(Who's the candidate to test this "unknown" glitch?)
wait, you actually have one? --DarthCookieMonster 02:36, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
One what? File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:39, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Pokemaniac102 said his game isn't available to him. Does that mean he has a Glatra --DarthCookieMonster 02:41, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't know why his game isn't avaliable now. And, we don't have any prove this Glata, Grata, or something-like-that glitch is true. Nobody here ever heard about it. File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Edit conflicts! I'm trying to say it!User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I deleted my save to let a friend borrow it.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:45, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Alright. Then, does someone here want to test this glitch? Then we can stop with this discussion. File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:48, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay... First, who has the game right now? Darth? It will only freeze your game. Not ruin it.User:Pokemaniac102/Sig 02:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
We don't even know if it's true and you're saying that it will freeze the game?! File:Ani038MS.gifうずまきハルカ 02:50, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
