This article is about the Kanto character. For the move, see Copycat (move).

In the games

In her bedroom, there is a Super NES with a game that has Mario with a bucket on his head, a reference to the Japan-exclusive game Mario and Wario (which was developed by Game Freak). Copycat is not her real name, rather her nickname.

Copycat has a Doduo she has somehow taught to mimic human speech, like a Chatot.

In Generation I

In Generation I, Copycat will give the TM for Mimic in return for a Clefairy-style Poké Doll.

In Generation II

In Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, Copycat's Clefairy doll (which she received in Generation I from Red) is lost. It's found by a member of the Pokémon Fan Club in Vermilion City. When the player returns her lost doll, Copycat will give a ticket to ride the Magnet Train that travels between Kanto and Johto.

In between the events of Generation I and Generation II, Copycat's house in Saffron City was torn down to make room for the Magnet Train station; a "rail company man" gave her a ticket because of the demolition.

In Generation III

In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Copycat is a move tutor who will teach Mimic to a suitable Pokémon in return for a Poké Doll.

In the anime

Copycat's anime counterpart may be Duplica.

In the TCG

Copycat's titular card first appeared in the Expedition Base Set, and has since reappeared in EX Team Rocket Returns and EX Dragon Frontiers.
