Since Pikachu doesn't listen to Red, in this battle and the next ones, he uses Poliwhirl and Bulbasaur. They have little health left, so Red creates a strategy of winning with a one-hit K.O. in every battle. This strategy had worked and they are soon facing the [[Gym Leader]], [[Brock]]. The last battle begins; however, Red's Pikachu still refuses to fight and even attacks Red. Furious at the trick, Brock orders his Onix to use the powerful move, {{m|Skull Bash}}. The rock snake forms a torpedo and launches itself against Pikachu, but Red rescues it just in time. This takes the Pokémon by surprise and it launches a huge electrical attack that destroys Onix, giving the victory to Red.
