This card was released as both a regular sized and Jumbo sized promotional card in the {{merch|XY|Garchomp-EX Box}} released April 1, 2014. In Japan, it was released as one of the {{TCG|XY-P Promotional cards}} and was one of four possible promotional cards given to customers who purchased ¥1000 worth of Pokémon Card Game products at participating stores as part of the ''Corocoro Presents: XY Super Hot Start-Up Campaign'', which launched on December 13, 2013 in celebration of the release of {{TCG|Collection X}} • {{TCG|Collection Y}}. This card features the campaign logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork.
