- Due to the lack of a Kadabra in the Mysterious Treasures set, as of May 2008, the most recent evolution card that can evolve from this card without the aid of another effect is Kadabra from Skyridge.
- The ability to evolve this card straight to Alakazam is likely due to the fact that Uri Geller has a history of lawsuits with Nintendo over Kadabra's Japanese name's similarity to his own, causing no card depicting Kadabra to have been created since Skyridge.
