Unlike previous [[Legendary group]]s, the giants share very similar names in English. Like them, however, the legendary giants have a leader (and like the beasts, a creator) in {{p|Regigigas}}. Each has seven dots for eyes, arranged in a different pattern, similar to the [[braille]] that is connected to their legend. Unlike the [[legendary birds]] and [[Legendary beasts]], the giants do not have {{a|Pressure}} as their Ability, though the original three giants do share the Ability {{a|Clear Body}}. Each member requires a puzzle to unlock them in the games they are in.

Long ago, the [[Legendary Pokémon]] {{p|Regigigas}} created other Pokémon in its own image, using ice, rocks, magma, a cluster of electric energy, and crystallized dragon energy, which would be known as {{p|Regice}}, {{p|Regirock}}, {{p|Registeel}}, {{p|Regieleki}}, and {{p|Regidrago}}.
