Nidorino (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Nidorino appears to be based on a {{wp|rhinoceros}}, {{wp|porcupine}}, {{wp|rabbit}}, {{wp|mouse}}, or even a {{wp|hamster}}, as seen by their aggressive and independent nature. Anatomically, however, they resebmble {{wp|hyrax}}es – {{wp|rodent}}-like mammals that are genetically more closely related to much larger mammals like {{wp|elephant}}s and {{wp|manatee}}s featuring thickset bodies with tough hides (similar to Nidoking). It most likely also draws inspiration from the Moon Rabbit in Asian folklore, this might explain why it requires a Moon Stone to attain its final form.
