Dragon's Den: Difference between revisions

The '''Dragon's Den''' (Japanese: '''りゅうのあな''' ''Dragon's Den'') is a location in the [[Johto]] city of {{ci|Blackthorn}}.

In {{game|Crystal}}, {{2v2|HeartGold|SoulSilver}}, several {{pkmn|Trainer}}s can be found in the cave. The [[Dragon Clan Elder|Master of the Dragon Tamer Clan]] is located here, and he will quiz the player on their attitude towards and treatment of their {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}. If the {{player}} gives compassionate answers, the player will be rewarded with a {{p|Dratini}} that knows {{m|Extreme Speed}}.

{{ga|Silver}} can be found here contemplating his training on {{DL|Days of the week|Tuesday}}s and {{DL|Days of the week|Thursday}}s. Clair will visit to reward the player with the Rising Badge she refused to award in the Blackthorn Gym, as well as {{TM|24|DragonBreath}}{{sup/2|GSC}} or {{TM|59|Dragon Pulse}}{{sup/4|HGSS}}. This requires fulfilling the task described above. In {{game|Gold and Silver|s}}, where the '''Dragon Shrine''' (Japanese: '''りゅうのほこら''' ''Dragon Shrine'') is closed and everything related to it is unavailable, Clair will instead give the Rising Badge to the player after they collect the {{DL|Type-enhancing item|Dragon Fang}}.

In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, after the player battles Silver at [[Mt. Moon]], they can participate with a [[Tag Battle]] with him against [[Lance]] and Clair here. Also, in these games, if the player receives the Rising Badge from Clair and then leaves the Dragon's Den with {{m|Dig}}, {{m|Teleport}}, or an [[Escape Rope]], then they must return to her Gym in order to collect the TM.

Of note is that {{game|Crystal}}'s redesign of the Dragon's Den added {{m|Headbutt}} trees to the back of the Dragon Shrine. Despite this, no {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} can be found [[Headbutt (move)/Wild Pokémon|hiding in them]]. In {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}}'s redesign, the Headbutt trees are absent, much like in its original design from {{game|Gold and Silver|s}}.
