Thundurus (Japanese: ボルトロス Voltolos) is a dual-type Electric/Flying legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation V. He is the second of the kami trio.
Thundurus is a roaming Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon White and is not known to evolve or have another form.
Biology
Physiology
Thundurus is a blue, muscular, vaguely ogre or genie-like Pokémon. He has a zigzagging, jutting white mane on the back of his head, one purple horn, blue ears, yellow eyes, and a white, pointed mustache. His muscular arms are spotted with purple, and his navel also has a spot of purple. He has a trailing cloud for a lower body, and his long, curling, indigo cord-like tail is adorned with various spiked, spherical structures.
Gender differences
Thundurus is a male-only species with no female counterpart.
Special abilities
Thundurus can shoot thunderbolts from his tail.

- Thundurus and Tornadus have the exact same base stats.
- When Thundurus appears on Route 7, Tornadus's cry is heard.
- Despite being part Template:Type2, Thundurus cannot learn any Flying-type moves by leveling up.
- Is the first Legendary Pokémon since the Legendary Birds in Generation I to have a significant change in its name from Japanese to English.
Origin
Thundurus is based on Raijin, the kami of thunder and lightning.
Name origin
The name Thundurus is a corruption of "thunder." The name Voltolos is from ボルト, volt.
